🎉 I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift! Listening to and capturing the passion and dedication of over 500 primary school children was an unforgettable experience. I am proud and privileged to have led the Eco-committee at Rodari School as part of the international Eco-Schools program, embarking on a journey towards innovation and environmental sustainability.
🌱 Their curiosity and vibrant energy in presenting projects, drawings, and ideas on recycling, food education, and the importance of biodiversity, with the profound awareness that there is no Planet B, was a precious gift. Kudos to the children and heartfelt thanks to their teachers, school leaders, environmental inspectors, forest police, families, and all the organizations supporting this program. This transformation is truly a team effort.
💡 Some friends have asked why I used the word “Touch” in the name of my startup, Innovative Human Touch. Today, I’ll share a little secret. Some time ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Space Shuttle Challenger Memorial at Cape Canaveral, which tragically exploded 73 seconds after launch. Among the crew was Christa McAuliffe, an innovator, astronaut, and a proud school teacher. The phrase on her locker that I can never forget is: “I touch the future. I teach.” She personally realized the lasting impact and huge responsibility educators have on their students and the future. We must always remember that we have not inherited this world from our parents; we have borrowed it from these young ones, and we must return it better than we found it.
